Paul F. “Skip” Stull, 69, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at his home. Born September 26, 1952 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Paul Stull, Jr. and Gwen Dorty Stull. Skip was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and served honorably with the US Marine Corps for 22 years retiring on November 10, 1991 at the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. During his career with the Marine Corps, he was qualified as a Scuba Diver Paratrooper, Expert Rifleman (awarded five times), and Expert Pistol (award four times). He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart; Navy Commendation with Combat V, Navy Achievement with Combat V, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal, two National Defense Awards, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Navy Sea Service Ribbon, Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation with Civil Actions Colors, Navy Overseas Service Ribbon, Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal, United Nations Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal awarded by Saudi Arabia, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal awarded by Kuwait. Following his retirement from the military he was employed as an electrical engineer with Knouse Foods, retiring in 2011. His first wife, Barbara J. Stull, preceded him in death in 1997 and his second wife, Lynn A. Stull preceded him in death in 2020.
Skip is survived by his daughter, Melody D. Evans and husband Greg of Brainerd, MN; his son, William A. Stull and wife Carla of Galena, OH; four grandchildren, Ian Evans, Connor Evans, Lana Fields, and Noah Stull; brother, Kelly A. Stull; sister, Lori A. McClure; niece Robbin McClure; and nephew Robert McClure and wife Anna.
Services and interment will be private.
