Pauline C. “Polly” Park, 93, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Menno Haven, Chambersburg. Born on April 11, 1927 in Waterloo, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert Campbell and Mary Love Campbell. She was the widow of John O. Park, who preceded her in death on September 10, 1990.
Polly was a graduate of the former Fannett Township High School, Class of 1945, and had worked at the former United Telephone Company and also JCPenney Co, both in Chambersburg. She and her husband, John, also served many families of Chambersburg as the owners and operators of the former John O. Park Funeral Home on South 2nd Street (now the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home) from 1968-1983. She was a longtime, faithful member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and its Loyalty Sunday School Class, AARP Falling Spring Chapter 2840, and she volunteered for over 30 years delivering Meals on Wheels. Polly always had a positive attitude and cheered up and encouraged many, many people over the course of her vibrant life.
Aside from her husband, John, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Estella Campbell and Phyliss Mengle. She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held in Norland Cemetery with Rev. John Kratz officiating. A public celebration of Polly’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church 750 Norland Avenue Chambersburg, PA 17201. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home.
