Pearl E. Musser, 92, of the Orrstown Personal Care Home died Friday, September 20, 2013 at the home. Born on April 28, 1921 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Elizabeth E. Snoke Wingert.
A homemaker most of her life, she helped her husband on the family farm. She was a member of Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church. Pearl was known for her beautiful quilt work and passion for her garden.
She is survived by six children; P. Joseph Musser and wife Doris of Newburg, Sylvia Hock and husband Ralph of Shippensburg, Roberta Rill and husband Richard of Orrstown, Nelson Musser and wife Kathy of Chambersburg, Fay Musser and partner Jim Banzhoff of Chambersburg, and Miriam Anderson and husband Ken of Durham, PA; seven grandchildren; five great-granddaughters, numerous step-grandchildren; and two sisters; Naomi Nicarry and Clara Ashway both of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Paul J. Musser on April 27, 2008, whom she married January 1, 1943 and four sisters; Rachel Wiles, Emma, Hannah, and Mary Wingert; and one brother, N. Ernest Wingert.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in the Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church, 7041 Cumberland Highway, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor LeRoy Eberly and Rev. Dr. Charles Naylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Air Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
