Phillip R. “Ralph” Reasner, age 61, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, at the Hershey Medical Center. Born October 22, 1954, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Phillip Frank and Elva McNew Reasner.
A machinist, Ralph worked for T.B. Woods Company and most recently for JLG for the last 20 years. An avid outdoorsman, Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. Ralph also liked watching golf and NASCAR on TV.
Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Patricia “Sue” Hobbs Reasner, whom he married on July 10, 1976; three children, Wendy S. Reasner (fiancé Ronald Wiegand) of Fayetteville, PA, Judd P. Reasner of Chambersburg, PA, and Megan L. Reasner of Carlisle, PA; two grandchildren, Sydney and Kaylee Wiegand both of Fayetteville, PA; two siblings, Jeff Reasner (wife Michelle ) of Shippensburg, PA and Penny Kimple (husband Clyde) of Orrtanna, PA; two nieces, Jody Oberton and Jennifer Fraker and a nephew, Zach Kauffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sue McNew.
A funeral service will be held in his honor on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Mike Sanders will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 2 from 6 – 8 PM in the funeral home. There will be no viewing prior to the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the charity of one’s choice.
