Phillis A. Gayman, 87, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday March 17, 2025, at her home.
She was born on October 3, 1937, in Chambersburg, PA, to the late Paul and Anna (Hawbaker) Myers.
Phillis was an active member of the King Street Church in Chambersburg, PA serving on the decorating committee and attending their New Life Sunday School. Phillis was also involved as a Founding President of the PA Builders Association Women’s Council, Past President of the Franklin County Builders Association, Salvation Army Women’s Auxilliary, and Franklin County Society of Farm Women.
She is survived by her husband Marlin E. Gayman of Chambersburg, PA, whom she married on June 28, 1958; son Douglas E. Gayman and his wife Linda of Chambersburg; granddaughters Anne Smith and her husband Brian of Newburg, PA; Amy Manning and her husband Michael of Chambersburg, PA; great grandchildren Harper, Easton, Drew, and Hallie; sister Norma Jean Meyers and brother Kenneth Myers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Paul Myers.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 21, 2025, at 1:00 pm at King Street Church 162 E. King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Pastor Ron Cook. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 20, 2025 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home 333 Falling Spring Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202 and one hour prior to the service on Friday from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the church. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg, PA.
