Phyllis K. Crouse, age 91, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Menno Haven. Born December 25, 1926 in Gettysburg, she was a daughter of the late Jerre and Ada Wetzel Keefer.
A 1944 graduate of the Gettysburg High School she was employed as a Payroll Clerk at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and a former member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees #1063 in Chambersburg. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and at the Chambersburg Hospital. Mrs. Crouse enjoyed embroidery.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph L. Crouse (Penny Pyne Heckman) of Orrstown and John L. Crouse of Shippensburg; a granddaughter, Alicia; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Bradley Keefer and wife Wilda of Wayneboro, VA; a sister-in-law with whom she was very close, Mary Crouse; also many nieces and nephews of which she was very fond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 16, 2018, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Fr. Brian Olkowski will officiate. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Gettysburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
