Rachael Mizzer

Rachael A. Mizzer, 37, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in the Chambersburg Hospital surrounded by her family. Born December 28, 1984 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Harold Overcash and Connie Fordyce.

A professional photographer, Rachael was the owner/operator of Rachael Mizzer Photography. She also worked part-time at Michael’s in custom framing. She was born with a gift for art and enjoyed scrapbooking, music, dancing and spending time with her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, Rachael is survived by her husband of 10 years, John A. Mizzer III, whom she married on October 15, 2011; two children, Elijah Overcash and Victoria Mizzer, both of Chambersburg; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Mizzer, Jr. and Geraldine Mizzer of Waynesboro; and many close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 12, 2021 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Clinton Stevens will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org or to a charity of one’s choice.
