Ralph Scott, III, 68, of Chambersburg, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at his home. Born January 24, 1955 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Ralph Scott, Jr. and Emma Jean Thomas Scott. Ralph was employed for 35 years at Valley Quarries and later retired from Ventura Foods after more than ten years of employment. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, Chambersburg Club, and Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, all in Chambersburg as well as the Hub City Club in Shippensburg. Ralph enjoyed NASCAR; throwing darts; pitching horseshoes; and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Ralph Scott, IV of Fayetteville; his daughter, Emma Scott of Chambersburg; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Cathy Jones (George), Donna Durner, Kim Scott, and Blanche Carpenter (Harvey), all of Chambersburg; two brothers, Bill Scott (Missy) of Chambersburg, and Frank Scott (Melissa) of North Carolina; five nephews; and ten nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his long-time friend, Jane Cummins on June 8, 2022.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Interment will be private.
