Ramona Conley, 89, of Chambersburg, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 14, 1929 in Lewistown, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Ella Meiss Parson. Her beloved husband of 41 years, Donald E. Conley, preceded her in death on May 23, 1993.
Ramona and her husband were the owner/operators of Donald E. Conley Real Estate for many years. They also owned a used furniture store called Peddler’s Corner. Early in her life she was employed with the Chambersburg School District. Ramona was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Chambersburg. She also served as a Past Royal Matron, Order of Amaranth, Falling Spring Court #139 and belong to the Order of the White Shrine. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, painting, gardening and loved animals.
She is survived by three daughters, Spreng McIntire and husband Pete of Shady Grove, PA, Gina Greene and husband David of NY, and Tammy Shank and husband Daniel of Upper Strasburg, PA; six grandchildren, Justin McIntire and wife Valerie of Chambersburg, Todd McIntire and wife Melinda of Greencastle, Erin Reese and husband David of Ashburn, VA, Amber Reilly and husband Michael of Chambersburg, Matthew Greene and wife Amy of Plattsburg, NY and Tara Minett and husband Benjamin of Canonsburg, PA; twelve great grandchildren; and two sisters, Florine Miller and Shirley McClenaghan. In addition to her parents and husband, Ramona was preceded in death by her great grandson, Nathaniel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. John Kratz will officiate. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
