Randy Fickes

Randy L. Fickes, Sr., age 62, of Shippensburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly at the Village of Laurel Run. Born December 17, 1954, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Clyde J. Fickes and the late Lois Cook Fickes.
Randy was a member of CASHS class of 1972. He worked at the Scotland School for Veterans Children for 27 years, retiring in 2006. Randy enjoyed hunting, drag racing, camping, taking trips to the beach, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his father, Randy is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Adrina Ferrell Fickes, whom he married May 2, 1974; two children, Trina Fickes Carpenter (husband Lee) of Chambersburg, PA and Randy L. Fickes, Jr. (wife April) of Fayetteville, PA; five grandchildren, Tarah, Nichole, Cierra, Skyler, and Corbin; one great-granddaughter, Jalynne; and four siblings, Brenda Fickes ( the late, Marion “Sketty” Cubeta) of Fayetteville, Linda Carbaugh (husband Bill) of Fayetteville, PA, Clyde Fickes of Perry County, PA, and Donald Fickes (wife Deb) of Fayetteville, PA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Fickes.
The family will receive friends in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA from 6 – 9 PM on Monday, July 24, 2017. Services and interment will be private.
