Rebecca Bazan

Rebecca Bazán, 74, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 16, 1942 in New York, New York, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Agueda Rivera Ramos.

A homemaker most of her life, Rebecca dedicated her life to her children. God and her church were her world. She attended South Fairview Church of God and was preciously a member of Mission Christian John 3:16 Assembly of God in Bronx, NY. She was very active in church where she served as a teacher and a youth leader. She enjoyed doing puzzles and reading.

Surviving are four children, Olgie Banos of Chambersburg, Harriet Bull and husband David of Virginia, Sarah Beegle and husband Jeffrey of Chambersburg and Marcos Bazán of PA; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister Sarah Broquadao of Staten Island, NY. She is preceded in death by her son Benny Torres, Jr.; and 14 siblings.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor Russell Higginbothon will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Centerville Cemetery, Newville, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
