Rebecca Mosebey Fix, 90, of Chambersburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 13, 1927, in Wells Tannery, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Carrie Rosenberry Mosebey. Her beloved husband, Harry Norman Fix, whom she married on June 17, 1950, preceded her in death on February 26, 2010.
Rebecca graduated with honors from Robert P. Smith High School in 1946, and the Chambersburg School of Business in 1950. In addition to being a wife, mother, and homemaker, she was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Franklin County Extension Office. Rebecca was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church of Chambersburg. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and was overjoyed with the birth of her new great-grandchild. She liked to travel, was an avid reader, and enjoyed working with many kinds of puzzles.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Carol Fix Diller, of Chambersburg; her granddaughter, Kari Jo, (husband Dennis) Brown, of Chambersburg; her two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Logan; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rebecca was preceded in death by her siblings; Roselyn Mosebey, W. Lyle Mosebey, Glen F. Mosebey, Dorothy “Dot” Norcross, Robert L. Mosebey, Helen V. Knepper, and Lottie L. McBride.
A memorial visitation will be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201, on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, from 10-12 PM. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 12:30 PM at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, where Pastor John Kratz will officiate.
