Reginal E. “Butch” Marks, 74, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 27, 1948 in Hancock, MD, he was a son of the late Joseph and Marian Smith Marks.

Butch served in the US Army and was later employed as an IT Technician at ADI in Hyatsville, MD. He was also employed at Marks Tile and Carpentry. During his retirement, he was employed part-time in maintenance at Rob ‘N Dara’s in Chambersburg. Butch enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, cooking, building model cars, and singing. He was an all-around handy man. He was a fan of the Washington Redskins and loved his dog, Sasha.

He is survived by his son, Jabar Malik Marks (Kasey) of Peachtree City, GA; three grandchildren, Malik, Blake and Kaitlyn Marks, all of Peachtree City, GA; eight siblings, Nancy Jones (Emmanuel), of Greencastle, Charles Marks (Marie) of Potomac, MD, Steven Marks of Owings, MD, Freddie Marks (Barbara) of Mercersburg, Delores Price of Mercersburg, Virginia Jenkins (Jimmy) of Chambersburg, Marian Mattress of Chambersburg, Jackie Dawson of Chambersburg, and Wayne Marks of Pittsburgh; long-time friend of 25 years, Sandy Thomason; and numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by three siblings, Joseph Marks, Jr., Robert Marks, and Carolyn Shaffer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 2, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
