Rev. Christopher T. Little, IV, age 51, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, April 19, 2016. Born December 2, 1964 in Williamsport, PA, he was the son of Marian Epler Little Stuempfle and the late C. Thomas Little, III. Chris was a 1983 graduate of the Loyalsock Township High School and went on to receive a degree in electrical engineering in 1997 from Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA. After graduating he was employed at the Naval Service Warfare Center in Silver Spring, MD. The family moved to Chambersburg in 1992 and he was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg and at Fort Ritchie in Maryland. He was called to the ministry and began serving as Associate Pastor at Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church in 1996. Chris graduated from Evangelical Theological Seminary in 2000 and has been serving as Senior Pastor at Mt. Pleasant since 2001. Since 2011 he and his wife have operated The Sweet Shop in Eagle’s Mere, PA, where Chris worked growing up. He enjoyed coaching his children in soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball throughout the elementary school years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Keri Keefe Little, whom he married August 13, 1988; three children, Samantha Little of Lewisburg, Christopher Little, V (Elizabeth McPeek) of Chambersburg, and Tabitha Baer (Justin) of Clarion; two sisters, Susan Lantz (John) of Lewisburg and Joann Mason (Michael) of Wadsworth, OH; two nieces; six nephews; and the family dogs, Charlie and Sadie.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, 2509 Black Gap Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Dr. John K. Smith and Rev. Dennis A. Sites will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 7:00 PM Saturday, April 23, 2016 and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church. A graveside service will be at Noon on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Eagles Mere Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the interment at The Eagles Mere Inn on Mary Avenue in Eagles Mere, PA.
