Richard Brill

Richard Glen Brill, 88, of Chambersburg, PA passed away the morning of Saturday, September 25, 2021 in Menno Haven Chambers Pointe where he had resided since July 2018. Born February 17, 1933 in Churchtown, PA he was the son of the late Mamie (Snader) Brill Killian and Ivan Martin Brill and the step-son of John Killian. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Arlene Lorraine (Angle) Brill; a brother Robert Brill; and step-brothers John Killian, Jr. and Wayne Killian. He is survived by his son Alan R. Brill and daughter-in-law, Cheryl D. Brill of Lititz, PA.

Dick was a 1952 graduate of Quincy High School where he excelled at track. He had also resided at the Quincy Orphanage from 1940 until 1951. He served in the United States Army from March 1953 until his honorable discharge March 1955 while stationed in West Germany. He was a salesman by profession.

He was a member of the Chambersburg Bible Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir and the Joy Chorale. Dick enjoyed playing golf, squash and tennis and was a decade’s long member of the Chambersburg YMCA and Squash Club. He was an avid pilot and flew extensively for work and pleasure. Later in his life he volunteered at the Chambersburg Animal Shelter.

Graveside service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA.
