Richard Cline

Richard L. Cline, Sr., 47 of Chambersburg, passed unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, December 2, 2012. Born December 6, 1964 in Chambersburg, he was the youngest son of Robert L Cline, Fayetteville and Darlene Jones-Cline, Shiremanstown, PA. He had worked for R.A. Hill, Inc. in Chambersburg and he was a Master Auto Body Technician. Rick enjoyed local stock car racing and NASCAR; he was a fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and the Toyota Racing Team. He was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, Fayetteville, PA. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Rick will be missed by his children, siblings, parents, aunts & uncles, cousins and his friends from Fayetteville and Chambersburg areas. In addition to his parents, he is survived by 3 children: Richard L Cline, Jr, (his fiancé Crystal Newman and children); Ashley L. Cline, and her son Brantley, all of Chambersburg; and Rachel Beaston-Cline of Carlisle. Rick is also survived by his brothers, Robert L. Cline of Newville, PA; and Rodney L. Cline and his children Derrick Cook, Taylor L. Cline and Reagan H. Cline, all of Chambersburg; and his paternal and maternal uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal & maternal grandparents, Uncle Richard & Aunt Lois Jones, Aunt Doris Jones, Uncle Gene Mann, and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Eloise Shanley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday and from Noon–1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Rick’s name to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 44 East Main Street, Fayetteville, PA 17222.
