Richard Federhoof

Richard H. Federhoof, age 81, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 in the Hershey Medical Center. Born May 23, 1932 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late J. Howard and Helen M. Varner Federhoof.
A U.S. Army veteran, Dick served honorably during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a cable supervisor and as an outside plant construction manager for Sprint for 43 years, retiring in 1994. After retirement, Dick spent his time volunteering at the Chambersburg Hospital. He enjoyed fishing, doing yard work, and gardening.
Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Virginia Baker Federhoof, whom he married on April 12, 1956 and his son, Joseph Federhoof (wife Alice) of Greencastle, PA.
Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
