Richard Lundy

September 25, 1971 — May 18, 2015

Richard J. “Rick” Lundy, 43, of Larchmont, NY, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 18, 2015 in his home. Born on September 25, 1971 in Chambersburg, PA, he was a son of Ann Lundy of Chambersburg and Robert J. Lundy Jr. (Marie) of Shippensburg.

Rick graduated from Chambersburg Area High School in 1989 and earned his B.S. from IUP and his M.B.A. from Mt. St. Mary’s University. He had worked in marketing for numerous tech companies over the past 15 years, spending time in both California and New York. He especially enjoyed being virtually employed, which enabled him to spend time with his family and loved ones and pursue his love of golf and tennis. Rick was the epitome of a "people person" and had countless close friends literally from around the globe.

Aside from his parents, he is survived by, and incredibly missed by, his sister, Barb Kegerreis (Lance), and brother Rob Lundy III (Liz Cook), step-sisters, Betsy and Jackie Stempien, all of Chambersburg; his Aunt Barbara Lumbie of Harding, PA. He will also be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, Nate (Kate) Strickler, Elizabeth Strickler, Brynn and Sydney Kegerreis, and Zac Lundy.

On Tuesday, May 26, in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, a visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, followed by a brief service of remembrance and reflection by Officiant, and Rick's good friend, Brad Hill. For anyone unable to attend the memorial, please take the time to share a brilliant smile and/or offer an uplifting comment to someone, in Rick's memory, as that is what he did on a daily basis. A private graveside committal service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Rick’s honor may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Condolences and memories may be shared on his Book of Memories page at www.geiselfuneralhome.com.
