Richard Sellers

Richard C. Sellers, 83, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Tuesday morning, January 5, 2016 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 6, 1932 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Harry and Gail Coble Sellers. Richard retired from Grove Manufacturing in Shady Grove, PA after forty years of service. He was a member of Mt. Olivet United Brethren Church. He enjoyed playing shuffleboard and participated in a church mission trip to Jamaica. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed NASCAR and football. His wife, Mildred A. Diffendenfer Sellers, whom he married May 30, 1951, preceded him in death on August 14, 2014.

He is survived by four children, Michael R. Sellers of Little River, SC, Jill D. McCollum and husband David of Gardners, PA, Joy Babcock of Salisbury, MD, and Chris L. Sellers and wife Joyce of Greencastle, PA; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William Sellers and John Sellers and wife Delores, all of Chambersburg.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 11, 2016 at Mt. Olivet United Brethren Church, Chambersburg, PA, with visitation from 10-11 AM. Rev. Marc Stephenson will officiate. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Monday at the church.
