Rick W. Foster, 62, of Spring Run, PA, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, March 8, 2015 at his home. Born July 24, 1952 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Marie M. Miley Foster and the late Robert W. Foster. Rick was a 1972 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School and served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg for twenty years. Rick was a member of Orrstown Lodge #262 F&AM and his hobbies included hunting and fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Robert W. Foster (Ashley) and Clinton A. Foster, all of Shippensburg; six grandchildren, Brandy Foster, Zane Foster, Kayleen Foster, Clinton Foster, Jr., Sierra Foster, and Hunter Foster; great-granddaughter, Olivia Erickson; and four sisters, Patricia Diehl (husband Dana) of Carlisle, Ann Foster of Shippensburg, Fran Rockwell (husband Stewart) of Shippensburg, and Hope Binder (husband Paul) of Chambersburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA with Rev. Lonnie Shover officiating. Interment will follow at Upper Path Valley Cemetery where military graveside honors will be provided by the McCartney Post 232 American Legion Color Guard. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
