Robert Paul Arnsparger, 60, of Ft. Loudon, PA, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 28, 2015 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born December 31, 1954 in Chambersburg, Bob attended Corpus Christi School and the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He worked for many years at the former Hennessey Products in Chambersburg until the company’s closing and was then employed at Lamtech, Inc. A Civil War buff and an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, camping, shooting black powder guns, and hunting mushrooms. An artist, Bob enjoyed drawing wildlife and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Marie Hollinger Arnsparger; five step-children, Trisha Ann Goshert of Lancaster, Michelle L. Reagan of Shippensburg, Douglas E. Goshert of New Holland, Karen M. Williams of Spring Run, and Kimberly L. Bingaman of Ft. Loudon; fifteen step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, William Arnsparger (wife Angie) of Ohio, Joseph Arnsparger (wife Debra) of Chambersburg, and John Arnsparger (wife Marsha) of Chambersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Murray Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
