Robert Beaston

Robert Daniel Beaston, age 63, of 24403 Path Valley Road, Concord, PA. died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at his home. Born June 25, 1948 in East Waterford, he was a son of the late Glenn J. and Donna (McCulloch) Beaston. He was a graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School. A Vietnam War veteran, Robert served in the US Air Force from 1967-1971. He was employed as an inspector at Letterkenny Army Depot, retiring after 37 years of service. Following his retirement he worked for his friend, Charles Sauerwald at Valley Broom, Inc. in East Waterford. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 232 in Dry Run, PA.

Robert is survived by his wife, Adele Louise (Peck) Beaston, whom he married June 22, 1968; three children, Robin Danielle Runk and husband Shannon of Willow Hill, Heather Renee Hall and husband Greg of New Cumberland, and Lance Christian Beaston and wife Heather of Shippensburg; and six grandchildren, Autumn Marie Stancliff and husband Rob, Kyle Edward Runk, Matthew Walker Hall, Allison Elizabeth Hall, Alexis Marie Beaston, and Isabelle Rae Beaston. He is also survived by two sisters, Candace Peck Hampton and husband Jay of Millerstown and Donna Kimberly Alleman and husband Mike of Doylesburg; and a brother, Glenn Jerome Beaston, Jr. and wife Paula of East Waterford.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Concord United Methodist Church, Concord, PA. Rev. Darwin Goshorn and Rev. Susan Stewart will officiate. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Military honors will be provided by the Color Guard of the American Legion Post 232 following the service.
