Robert Faust

Robert E. “Bob” Faust, 85, of Chambersburg, PA, died Thursday evening, June 21, 2012 at Holy Spirit Hospital. Born January 7, 1927 in Windber, PA, he was a son of the late Clark Sherman and Mabel Viola Ott Faust. Bob was a graduate of the Windber High School and served with the US Army Corps of Engineers. He had at one time been employed by Montgomery Ward Company and in 1992 retired from the former Frey Motors, Inc. in Chambersburg. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Chambersburg and also held membership in Hume-McNeal-Byers Amvets Post 224, Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, the Marine Corps League, the Masonic Lodge, Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club, the Lions Club, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #842.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Louise J. Rosenberry Faust and a number of nieces and nephews. The last of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by two brothers, J. Edwin and Merritt Faust; and a sister, Laverne Berkebile.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 25, 2012 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Interment with military honors by members of the Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard will follow at Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
