Robert Fon

Robert L. Fon, 91, peacefully left us on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Louis; his sisters, Clara and Dorothy; and his brother, Henry. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Audrey; two sons, Alan and Brian; daughter-in-law, Elisa; granddaughter, Leslie; sister Martha; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert was born in a Slovenian neighborhood in Indianapolis, IN, in a home connected to a small neighborhood grocery store that was run by his family. After graduating from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, Robert worked various jobs in Indianapolis before traveling the world while serving in the U.S. Army and the Department of State Foreign Service. After retiring to Fayetteville, PA, Robert became a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and continued to pursue his favorite activities of drawing, oil painting, photography, traveling and bowling.
