Robert P. Kennedy, age 64, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Montgomery County, MD, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in his home. Born August 19, 1954, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Robert J. and June Lohaus Kennedy.
A 1972 graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, in Olney, MD, Robert went to work becoming a warehouse manager at Tiara Gifts and Galleries in Montgomery County, MD. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He dearly loved and was loved by his children, grandchildren, and his dogs.
Robert is survived by his three daughters, Sara Beth Kennedy-Bentz & husband Chris, of Emmitsburg, MD, Britney Swain of St. Thomas, PA, and Virginia Arrington, of Hagerstown, MD; eleven grandchildren, Albury, Wayne, Zachary, Dylan, Jacob, Kristen, Lazaro, Wesley, Willow, Heavenly, and Raelynn; and one sister, Kathryn Arvedlund of Silver Spring, MD.
Inurnment will be private and will take place in Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
