Robert H. Kline, Jr., 84 of Chambersburg, PA, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, January 17, 2012 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 4, 1927 in Chambersburg he was a son of the late Robert H., Sr. and Fannie Pierce Kline. A US Navy veteran of WWII, Bob owned and operated the former Kline’s Photo Shop in Chambersburg for more than twenty years. He was a member of the Chambersburg Brethren In Christ Church where he taught Sunday school for several years and volunteered in the sound room.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon L. Franklin Kline, whom he married April 3, 1971; five children, Michael R. Kline and wife Bev of Madison, TN, Stephen R. Kline and wife Susan of Clio, MI, Robert H. Kline, III and wife Denise of Portland, TN, Susan K. Mills and husband James of Marion, PA, and Patrick D. Kline of Pegram,TN; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Hilda Humelsine of Newville, PA and Louise Shade and husband Glenn of Chambersburg, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 20, 2012 at Chambersburg Brethren In Christ Church. Private interment will be at Stenger Hill Cemetery, Ft. Loudon, PA. Friends will be received from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and from 10:00-11:00 AM Friday at the church.
