Robert Proctor

Robert L. “Bob” Proctor, age 86 of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born November 16, 1936, in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Mabel McGlauflin Proctor.
Bob was a 1958 graduate of Lehigh University. He was a metallurgical engineer and held positions around the country including locally at Grove Manufacturing and Precision Components in York. During his retirement years, Bob was active in Franklin County volunteer activities including volunteering for the Waynesboro Hospital, Meals for Wheels, and AARP Tax aide program. He was also active in social clubs including various model train clubs. Everyone always knew when Bob was in the room. Bob was very active with his grandchildren and loved attending their events.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Ruth L. Langshaw Proctor, whom he married on January 24, 1959; two sons, Michael Proctor (Susan) of Vienna, VA and Lance Proctor (Ruth) of Poquoson, VA; four grandchildren, Matthew, Kenneth (Becca), Hunter and Caitlin Proctor; and three great-grandchildren, Violet, Nathaniel, and Natalee.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., Chambersburg, PA.
