Robert L. “BoBo” Reaid, Sr., 90, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 at his home. Born May 9, 1933 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Walter Boise and Dallas Reaid Boise. His beloved wife, Verdella E. Keith Reaid, whom he married on November 16, 1963, preceded him in death on April 23, 2004.

BoBo was a 1952 graduate of CASHS where he was a star athlete and lettered in four sports. He excelled in Football, Basketball, Baseball and Track and also played semi-pro football with the Chambersburg Cardinals. After high school he served in the US Army, 101st Airborne. BoBo was a member of John Wesley AME Zion Church in Chambersburg, and Laurel Lodge #133 IBPOE. He was employed as an Inspector for Sun Oil Company for 15 years until his retirement. He enjoyed supporting his favorite teams, the UNC Tar Heels and the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by four children Robena Reaid Spangler of Harrisburg, Suzanne Ransom of MD, Robert L. Reaid, Jr., of Harrisburg, and Serena Reaid of Chambersburg; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two brothers, Carl “PeeWee” Watson of Chambersburg, and Walter “Junior” Watson of Cincinnati, OH. Aside from his wife and parents, BoBo was preceded in death by two daughters, Regina Reaid and Suzette Reaid; and two sisters, Christine Dixon and Juanita Carter.

Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Chambersburg, PA. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
