Robert Sowers

Robert E. Sowers, age 52, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Born February 20, 1965, in Carlisle, PA, he was the son of Ursula “Diane” Muller Poston and the late William D. Sowers.
Rob worked as the Club Manager at the American Legion Post 46 in Chambersburg for 25 years. He was a SAL member of the American Legion Post 46 and a member of the VFW Post 1599, both in Chambersburg. Rob enjoyed sports, golfing and spoiling his cats, Simba and Winky and Lucky the dog.
In addition to his mother, Rob is survived by his son, Jordan Sowers (fiancé Sierra Miller) of Chambersburg PA, his companion, Theresa Glunt, step-son, Tucker Perry (wife Courtney), grandson, Jaxon Perry, and siblings, Randy Sowers (wife Georgina) of Chambersburg, PA and Sheryl L. Mell (husband Ron) of Carlisle, PA. His wife, Lesa Wishard Sowers preceded him in death in 2016.
A casual memorial to honor Rob’s life will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, from 4 – 6 PM at the American Legion Post 46, 755 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
