Robert Stadler

December 6, 1939 — July 7, 2012

Robert W. Stadler, age 72, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 7, 2012 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born December 6, 1939 in Saginaw, MI, he was the son of Dorothy Stadler of Saginaw, MI and the late William R. Stadler.
A US Army veteran, he retired after 20 years of honorable service as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1979. In addition Robert retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in 2005 as a Production Manager. Robert was a Boy Scout Leader, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Ethel Forinash Stadler, whom he married on May 6, 1961; his children, William R. Stadler (Rhonda) of Boyertown, PA, Donald L. Stadler (Christa) of Germany, and Christine M. Edenbo (Brian) of Carlisle, PA; his grandchildren, Andrew “A.J.” Edenbo (Latisha), Jennifer Barnhardt (Jordan), Allison Stadler, Elizabeth Weidner (Daniel), and Kaitlin Stadler; seven great grandchildren, Dylan, Jacoby, Gabriel, Mason, Rayne, Ainsley, and Zackary, and four sisters, Joyce, Patricia, Michelle, and Rebecca all of Michigan. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202. Services and Interment will be Saginaw, MI and under the direction of the Case Funeral Home, Saginaw, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Grove Family Library, 101 S. Ragged Edge Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
