Rodney Guyer

Rodney Harold Guyer, age 71, of Shippensburg, PA, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Born August 9, 1950, in Huntington, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond P. and Josephine Bilger Guyer.
Mr. Guyer was a 1968 graduate of the Chambersburg Area School District. He went on to serve honorably in the US Army National Guard for 6 years. He was employed at Pet Ritz and Chambersburg Engineering prior to working as a newspaper carrier before his retirement. He was a member on several bowling leagues, he enjoyed playing put put golf; loved watching horse races along with college and professional football.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Rider Guyer; two children, Melissa Knowlton (husband Robert) of Newville, PA and Christopher Guyer (wife Angela) of Shippensburg, PA; five granddaughters, Karissa and Destiny Knowlton and Elaina, Breonna, and Danielle Guyer; two great grandsons, Nolan and Eli; five siblings, Raymond Guyer, Jr. of St. Thomas, PA, Theodore Guyer (wife Janet) of Chambersburg, PA; JoAnn Orndorff of Shippensburg, PA, Nancy Mozingo of Chambersburg, PA, and Linda Murray (husband Bob) of Fayetteville, PA. He will also be missed by his beloved cat, Lucy.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 9 AM in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Phil Foster will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
