Roger Davis

Roger Dale Davis, age 67, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center. Born November 25, 1949, in Big Cove Tannery, PA, he was the son of the late Donald Harrison and Ethel Pittman Davis.
A 1969 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Mr. Davis went on to work for the H.J. Heinz Company, Corning Ware, Letterkenny Army Depot and New Cumberland Army Depot, where he retired in 2006, after 25 years of service. Roger enjoyed having a good meal and a good movie or television show.
Surviving are four siblings, Linda D. Harr (husband Mike) of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Donald L. Davis (companion Kyong Ray) of Radcliff, KY, Virgil J. Davis of Chambersburg, PA, and Lori A. Pippenger (husband Mike) of Chambersburg, PA; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and a great-great-nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Chaplain Donna Murray will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 21 from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Norland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset Roger’s medical expenses, c/o Lori Pippenger, 1171 South Main St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
