Roger Harry Gilbert, 72, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at his residence. Born, June 2, 1946 in Fayetteville, he was a son of the late Alfred W. and Susan C. Jones Gilbert. Roger was employed at James River Co. until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Gilbert of Fayetteville, two grandchildren Derek Short of Chambersburg and Ashley Romero of Fayetteville; five siblings, Alfred Gilbert and wife Deb of Chambersburg, and Kate Carbaugh, Frances Fleagle and husband Ellis, Barbara Hock and Jane Beidel and husband Richard, all of Fayetteville. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Roger Gilbert; and four brothers, Merle Gilbert, Sr., and Glenn, Raymond and Richard Gilbert.
Services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
