Roger Harris

Roger J. Harris, age 76, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 15, 1937 in Canton, GA, he was the son of the late Walter W. and Laura Gramling Harris.
A craftsman, Mr. Harris enjoyed working with his hands making arts and crafts. He also enjoyed studying the bible, singing, woodworking, his family, and just having a good laugh.
Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Lynn Bittinger (husband Jim) of Chambersburg, PA and April Tennille Khalil (husband Amro) of Easton, PA; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1165 Crottlestown Rd., Chambersburg, PA on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 6:30 PM; where Pastor Dan McClintock will officiate. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 North Progress Ave., suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to the American Cancer Society, 384 Floral Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
