Roger L. Horst, 65, of Chambersburg, PA, died Monday, March 1, 2021 at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. Born January 17, 1956 in Hagerstown, MD, he was a son of the late Abram E. and Ruth E. Horning Horst. Roger attended Greencastle Antrim High School and worked most of his life as a Truck Driver with the former Horst and Sons Trucking, which then became the former AEH Trucking. He enjoyed bowling and in 2010 was inducted into the Pennsylvania State USBC Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Franklin County USBC Hall of Fame on May 5, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Xiaoling Li; his step-son Qiwen Liang of Chambersburg; his daughter, Tasha Nichols (Erik) of West Virginia; grandson Kohen Nichols of West Virginia; brother Michael Horst (Denise); sister Florence Dinsmore (Billy) all of Ft. Loudon; and sister JoAnn Wildeson (Richard) of Waynesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 PM on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Salem Reformed Church Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
