Ronald Foreman

Ronald L. “Ronnie” Foreman, age 73, of Fayetteville, PA; passed away in the Harrisburg Hospital on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Born January 15, 1938 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Frank L. and Virginia Ruby Foreman.

Ronnie worked as an optical instrument inspector at Letterkenny Army Depot; where he retired after 37 years of service in 1992. Ronnie was a member of the Hume McNeil AMVETS, post 224 in Chambersburg. He enjoyed the great outdoors, gardening, and especially hunting and in his younger days, fishing; but his most precious time was with his family, especially his granddaughter and great grandson, Aiden.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Patsy Reed Foreman, a daughter, Sherry Cordell (husband Phil) of Chambersburg, a granddaughter, Tammy Shearer (husband Chris) of Chambersburg, a great-grandson, Aiden Shearer, and two sisters, Shirley Fogelsanger and Judy Verdier. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 9:30 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Earl Mills will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the service time at 9:30 AM. Interment with military honors by members of the Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
