Ronald Fritz

Ronald E. “Ron” Fritz, Sr., age 78, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born in Chambersburg, PA on December 20, 1936, he was the son of the late Milton and Helen Mickley Fritz.
Mr. Fritz worked as a shipping expeditor at Corning Glass for 40 years retiring in 2000. An avid outdoorsman, Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and most recently traveling to Chincoteague, VA.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Alma Mellott Fritz, whom he married on December 31, 1959, four sons, Ronald E. Fritz, Jr. (wife Barbara) of Chambersburg, PA, Ricky L. Fritz (wife Michelle) of Fayetteville, PA, Roger L. Fritz of Chambersburg, PA, and Ryan L. Fritz (wife Lori) of Chambersburg, PA; six grandchildren, Jeremy Fritz (wife Amanda) of St. Thomas, PA, Brittany Gleason (husband Stephen) of Chambersburg, PA, Natasha Fritz of Fayetteville, PA, Natalie Fritz of Fayetteville, PA, Tyler, and Zachery Fritz of Chambersburg, PA; three great grandchildren, Jacob Hartman and Brielle and Alayna Gleason; and two sisters, Shirley Fritz of Chambersburg, PA and Connie Stevens (husband Odrun) of St. Thomas, PA.
Funeral services will be held in his honor on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Pastor Murray Stevens will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, from 6 – 8 PM and on Thursday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
