Ronald Hoffer

Ronald C. Hoffer, Sr., 64, of Chambersburg, passed away Sunday evening, November 27, 2016 at his home. Born July 20, 1952 in Williamsport, PA, he was a son of the late Richard and Louise Clark Hoffer. Ronald was a 1970 graduate of the Williamsport High School and served honorably with the US Navy for fifteen years. He was then employed for twenty-five years at Site R (Raven Rock Mountain Complex). He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. Mr. Hoffer enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and baseball. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.

He is survived by his wife, Susan D. Nuss Hoffer, whom he married April 17, 1971; his son, Ronald C. Hoffer, Jr. and wife Barbara of White Haven, PA; his daughter, Jessica Hoffer of Marlboro, MA; three grandchildren, Richard, Edward, and Rebecca; and his great-granddaughter, Riley Ann. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Hoffer and wife Barbara of Dubois, PA, and his sister, Debra Bower of Frederick, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Hoffer.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2016 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 2695 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Christopher Frye will officiate. Interment will be private.
