Ronald Poole

Ronald A. Poole, 42, of Blairs Valley Road, Mercersburg, PA, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012. He was the son of Ronald and Cindy Poole of St. Thomas. He was currently employed at TruckCraft in Marion, PA and had previously worked at JLG Industries and Jerr-Dan. Ron was a member of various social clubs including the Greencastle Sportsman’s Association, the American Legion, VFW, and Moose Lodge, all in Mercersburg, and the Fort Loudon Chapter of Pheasants Forever. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, horseshoes, motorcycles, and shooting pool
He and his wife Roberta “Bobbie” Wright Poole were married February 14, 2011 and lived at their present residence since June of 2012. In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his son, James D. Poole and girlfriend Mindy Singer; two daughters, Kaylee R. Poole and Paige R. Poole; his grandson, Raidyn J. Poole; and two sisters, Grace Padilla and husband Michael and Tabitha Nieves and husband Israel. He is also survived by his best friend, Travis Christman; three nieces, Jada, Destiny, and Lily; two nephews, Bryce and Ethan; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Batzel and Grace Batzel Branthafer and his paternal grandparents, James D. and Sue Straley Poole.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1790, 107 Landis Drive, Mercersburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Roberta Poole, 10801 Blairs Valley Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236 to assist with funeral expenses.
