Ronald Scarlett, 77, of Chambersburg, died on Sunday July 7, 2013. Born on June 25, 1936 in Jamaica, he was the son of the late Charles and Ethel Dixon Scarlett. Ronald worked in agriculture most of his life.
He is survived by five children; Jasmine and Jacqueline Scarlett of Jamaica, Janet Scarlett of Curacao, Joan Scarlett Anderson and husband George of Queens, NY, Gerald Scarlett and former wife Sherry McLatchy, of Chambersburg; a step-daughter, Kathy Sollenberger, of Chambersburg. Ronald is also survived by twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his life-long companion Flora Bel Sollenberger.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. At Ronald’s request, there will be no formal service.
