Ronald Stake

Ronald E. Stake, 72, of Fayetteville, PA, died Sunday morning, July 14, 2013 at his home. Born September 21, 1940 in Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late Edgar and Ruth Stake. A U.S. Navy veteran, Ronald served his country honorably during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the U.S. Government in 1995 as an engineering manager after 33 years of service. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing golf, and watching his grandchildren’s’ sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Audrey Harvey Stake, whom he married May 7, 1961; three children, Robyn Brewer of Chambersburg, PA, Brian Stake and Rhonda Bushman of Fayetteville, PA, and Sherri Jones of Shippensburg, PA; six grandchildren, Amanda and Holly Rudisill both of Chambersburg, Jesse Bushman of Fayetteville, Mackenzie Stake of Fayetteville, Ronna Butler and husband Chad of Chambersburg, and Chase Sprow of Fayetteville; four great grandchildren, Brycen, Troy, Shawn, and Kendahl; and two siblings, David Stake of Buford, GA, and Linda Roher of Carlisle, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Eloise Shanley officiating. The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
