Rosaline Sellers

Rosaline Sellers, 74, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on April 9, 1937 in Meadow Gap, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lester P. Boyer and Minola Wilson Boyer. She was the wife of William H. Sellers, whom she married on November 7, 1954.

Rosie was employed at one time as a presser at the former Stanley Company. She retired from the Chambersburg Area School District, working as the head cook at the former Grandview Elementary School. An avid NASCAR fan, her interest in racing started years ago when she and Bill would go to the St. Thomas Speedway. Her favorite driver was the late Dale Earnhardt, whom she met several times. She and Bill attended the St. James United Brethren Church.

Aside from her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Wanda Blatt of Gaithersburg, MD; granddaughter, Heather Blatt (and fiancé, Dustan Ledford) and great grandson, Bryce Ledford, all of Damascus, MD. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara K. Gift Unger.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, February 10, in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, with Rev. Murray Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. The family suggests contributions be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, Franklin/Fulton Division, 384 Floral Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
