Rosemary “Linda” Holma, age 55, of Waynesboro, PA passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012. Born February 24, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA.
A registered Nurse for over 25 years, Linda worked at Allegeheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and most recently in the Chambersburg Hospital Emergency Department, where she was employeed since 2004 and affectionately known as “Mama Linda”. Linda enjoyed making crafts, fishing, camping, gardening, planting flowers, and swimming. After the tradgedy that occurred Friday evening a dear and respected colleague of Linda’s, Dr. Michael M. Coriale wrote the following about Linda, “Sitting here trying to make sense of the chaos that has befallen the ER family, but no matter where I look there are no answers. A beautiful person was taken from us way too soon, and we are all feeling the pain. I am honored and privileged to have known Linda, and my sorrow is profound. To know Linda is to love her. Kind, generous, hilarious, fun, and the list goes on. On the work front, a highly skilled and competent nurse, her absence will surely be felt. Coming in to work and seeing Linda in the charge seat gave me relief and comfort knowing that the helm was in good hands. As we all struggle to find a way to persevere, let’s all remember what Mama Linda would expect us to do! Let us all cherish her memory and celebrate the wonderful woman that none of us will EVER forget.”
Surviving is her beloved husband, Kevin Holma, whom she married on June 8, 2001; her children, Sarah, Bethany, and Jacob; her grandchildren, Sydney, Cheyenne, and Haley; and her siblings, Steve, Bill, David, and Gill Auble and sister, Susan. In addition to Linda, her son, Luke Santucci also passed away tragically on Friday, July 27, 2012.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
