Ross Ratcliffe

Ross T. Ratcliffe, 72, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Menno Haven. Born September 30, 1943 in Hamilton, ON Canada, he was the son of the late Thomas and Helen Smart Ratcliffe.
Ross was a graduate of Royal York Collegiate in Toronto. He was employed as a salesman with Chemcraft – Sadolin, Inc. in Canada and later at Ventura Foods in Chambersburg until his retirement. Ross also served as a Dale Carnegie instructor for many years. He served in administration in the Boy Scouts of America New Birth of Freedom Council.
He is survived by two sons, Christopher Farley Ratcliffe and wife Laura of Ottawa, ON, and Benjamin Ratcliffe of Orangeville, ON; three grandchildren, Hannah, Emily and Rachel Farley Ratcliffe; Shirley Sturgeon of Whitby, ON; one niece, Susan Murray and husband Doug of Toronto; two nephews, Steve Sturgeon and wife Lynn and Doug Sturgeon, all of Toronto; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Toronto, ON. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, 222 Queen Street, Suite 1402, Ottawa, ON K1P 5V9 or to Boy Scouts of America New Birth of Freedom Council, 1 Baden Powell Lane, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050-2344. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
