Roxann Glass

Roxann Marie Glass won her long battle with cancer and ran in to the arms of our Heavenly Father Saturday morning, November 22, 2014. Roxann, 59, of Chambersburg is the loving mother of Amanda Black, wife of Todd. She was the best Grammy to her grandchildren, precious twins Raeann & Eli, Alexandra and Todd Jr. Black. She is loved very dearly by her Great Niece, Odessa Kalathas.

Roxann retired from Charles Nittershouse Post 1599 VFW in 2012 with 25 years of service. She was an active member of Chambersburg First Church of God and a life member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary. Roxann gave of her time to Meals on Wheels, Bible Release, and Chambersburg First Church of God Children’s ministries. Her love for people was strong. Her giving heart and beautiful smile was contagious to all her friends and family who will miss her …Roxann had an unconditional love for her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her companion, Jack Oliver, mother Doris Glass, daughter Crystal, sister Yolonda, and brother Danny.

Surviving family includes her father, Robert N. Glass (Judy), siblings Robert N. Glass II, Stephanie Glass, Todd Glass, Melody Glass, Reginald Glass, Kathy Spahr, Dave Haulman, Diann Jones, Merle Haulman, and Darren Haulman.

A memorial service to celebrate Roxann’s life will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Chambersburg First Church of God, 2290 Grand Point Road, Chambersburg, with Rev. Lawrence Metzler and Rev. Lester Swope officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM Wednesday at the church. The family requests that those attending wear purple and red – Roxann’s favorite colors.
