Roy Dangler

Roy J. Dangler, age 82, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly at the York Hospital on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Born in Scotland, PA on July 26, 1940, he was the son of the late Mervin L. and Nellie Clippinger Dangler.

Roy was a 1959 graduate of CASHS, upon graduation he started as an apprentice at Landis Tool in Waynesboro, PA. He went on to work as a maintenance machinist at various locations throughout his career, retiring from Schreiber Foods in Shippensburg, PA. He was also a distributor for Archway Cookies. He was a member of Greenwood Assembly of God, Fayetteville, PA. He enjoyed gardening.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Rita Gutshall Dangler, whom he married September 29, 1963, two children, Cheryl Harvey (Jon) and Andrew Dangler (Rachel) and two siblings, Ruth Zook (Earl) and Lester Dangler (Betty); and a sister-in-law, Vivian Dangler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dangler.
