Ruth Dice

Ruth S. Dice, 90, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 in Menno Haven. She was born on September 1, 1925 in Chambersburg, to the late F. Shull Skelly and Edna Coble Skelly. She was the widow of Abram Dice, who preceded her in death in 1991. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Shetler and Esther Reichard, and two brothers, Frank and George Skelly. Surviving are two daughters, Sheryl Ingraham (Russ) of Annapolis, MD and Lori Carey (John) of Ann Arbor, MI; a brother, Paul Skelly (Jo), of Shippensburg; four grandchildren, Kate Neufeld (Brian), Zachary Grisard (Jessie), Molly Tallerico (Christoph) and Gabriel Carey; and one great grandson Rowan Skelly Neufeld. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 2, at Solomon’s Lutheran Church, 4856 Wayne Road, Chambersburg, with Rev. Herbert Spomer officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Abram, in David’s Cemetery, Kettering, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred for either Solomon’s Lutheran Church or SpiriTrust Hospice.
