Ruth Doyle, 85, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Friday morning, December 5, 2014 at the Shook Home. Born September 25, 1929 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Clara Boysen Lamb. A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Doyle was a member of the West Side Brethren In Christ Church.
She is survived by two children, David A. Ott and wife Janice of Levittown, PA and Ginny Porter and husband Bill of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Michael Porter, Becky (Mrs. Pat) Akers, Sara (Mrs. Jordan) Crosman, and Private First Class Emily Ott; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Ed) Atkinson and Nancy (Mrs. Ken) Welsh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Ott in 1976; her second husband, Warren Doyle in 1999; a sister, Clara Rakoczy; and two brothers, George and Dick Lamb.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, December 8, 2014 at West Side Brethren In Christ Church with Rev. James Sollenberger officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
