Ruth E. Graham, age 46, of Pleasant Hall, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at her home with her family by her side. Born April 22, 1970, in Carlisle, PA, she was the daughter of Sarah V. Hill Gordon and the late Ray E. Gordon.
A 1988 graduate of Big Spring High School, Ruth went on to graduate from Hagerstown Community College. In High School, Ruth was active in the Cumberland County Vo-Tech and as a cheerleader at Big Spring. She worked at the Chambersburg Hospital for 10 years and was the former owner and operator of Rumors of Newville, Cut Loose of Shippensburg, and Sassy’s Scissors of Chambersburg. She enjoyed crafts, baking, jewelry, her beloved dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her mother, Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of eight years, Jeffrey Graham whom she married on February 2, 2008; two children, Joshua C. Baughman of Chambersburg, PA and Isaac G. Baughman of Ft. Stewart, GA; two step-children, Chad Graham (wife Wendy) of Pleasant Hall, PA and Jodi Graham of Chambersburg, PA; four grandchildren; two siblings, Debra R. Martin (husband Clyde) of Carlisle, PA and Teresa L. Wagner (husband David) of Shippensburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services to honor Ruth’s life will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016, at 10 AM at the Chambersburg First Church of God, 2230 Grand Point Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Lawrence Metzler will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 25 from 6 – 9 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service at the church and address above. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Spiritrust Lutheran Hospice, 2700 Luther Dr., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
