Mrs. Ruth Clayton Grubb, 99, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Saturday February 6, 2021 at Menno Haven. Born November 19, 1921 in Massies Mill, VA, she was the daughter of the late John and Maude (Lanning) Clayton. After moving to Poolesville, MD as an adolescent, she graduated from Poolesville High School. There, she also met her husband, William J. Grubb. Mrs. Grubb spent her life as a homemaker, always caring for others. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, Chambersburg.
She is survived by five children, William C. Grubb of Austin, TX, Sharon C. Hansard of Charles Town, WV, Nancy E. Galloway, of Poolesville, MD, Kenneth P. Grubb, of Antalya, Turkey, and Susan D. Gould of Reston, VA; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William J, Grubb, her son, David S. Grubb, three brothers, Ralph, Glenn, and Charles Clayton, and two sisters, Margaret Evans and Virginia Greiner.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Parklawn Memorial Park, 12800Viers Mill Rd., Rockville, MD 20853. A memorial service will be held in April.
